Autumn Wishlist ...

Autumn has most certainly begun in England,

the first leaf I saw fell a couple of days ago,

Taylor (my son) is back to school,

and it's getting chilly and darker in the evenings.

I have been laid on the sofa most of the weekend as I have a stinking cold and headache.
So as you do, I have been window shopping the internet.

This seasons high street has some very exciting pieces, I'm really looking forward to getting home.

&

My perfect combo for a casual day out, early Christmas shopping or going out for a meal.

I would certainly get a
cardigan and wooly pair of tights
to wear with this outfit!

&

I'm unsure whether this pair would fit well together however I love them both separately.

I think the dress is a perfect outfit for your/your partners Christmas work party

&

Peep toe shoes are my guilty pleasure at the moment, so classic and the perfectly discrete way to show off beautifully manicured toes.

&

Personally I think this is a lovely way to wear stylishly warm and comfy clothing.

The earrings are bang on tend right now as triangles and aztec styling are the thing to wear right now!

&

Pyjamas are my biggest love of Autumn and Winter, they're so comfy!

I already own a pair of New Look PJ's and they are undoubtedly the most comfy I have.

The Comic Cami looks super cute however I'm gutted they don't sell trousers to match.

I hope you guys are enjoying the Autumn so far!

Have you got any wishlists?
Or any Work Party OOTD ideas??
Send them across!

30 Day Snap.. Number 21&22+23.. Whoops!!

I have a valid reason for missing the last

three days of 30 Day Snaps

Whoops, sorry guys!

So my story begins on Wednesday the 17th

I was contacted by a Production Company to be a Runner

for the night! At the Basement Jaxx Live Streamed Gig at

Somerset House in London!

What an experience!
Loved it :)

This was on Sunday! Then the day before this I was approached by another company

By a lovely gentleman recommending me, who Directed

Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith - La La La song!

So therefore on Monday I arrived in Hackney

to work as a Runner again for a music video.

For the band Temples

They were really awesome and cool guys!
Check out their music!

So that is why I have been away for a while, and why I am slightly exhausted.

However it was all great fun and thank you to all the people who contacted/recommended/Iworkedwith!

These past few days I have worked with the nicest people, even after a 12 hour stint we were all still laughing and enjoying it!

And a huge thank you to Daniel who escorted me everywhere to make sure I was safe!

My Work Wear.

I'm lucky as my work place have a
smart casual dress code.

I regularly wear this outfit as
it's summer(y) and keeps me warm.

 Flower top - Warehouse
White Jumper - River Island
Trousers - Marks and Spencer

I don't wear a necklace usually because of the collar
I think it would be too much!

NailsInc - My review and the colour can be found (here)

I also wear this outfit at the weekend with a beige pair of Primark Chino's.

I highly recommend, if you wear any patterned top
you do not wear heavy makeup

you will look like a clown.

My makeup today was as basic as it comes,

Foundation
Powder
Eye Liner
Brow Liner
Mascara
and
Lip stick.
Oh and Blush.

Hope you had a good day at work!

20 May 2012

I'm applying for University late!

I swear everything I do is a spur of the moment.
Last year I wasn't going to apply for Beauty NVQ3
And in the last week I decided why not!

It is mid May and I have applied to UCAS to hopefully attend
UCA in Farnham this September coming.

This is crazy!
But I get such a high of last moment things.

I am applying for
BA (Hons) Digital Film and Screen Arts

As I will be a Mature Student (at 22!!)
Hardly old am I
I have to create a portfolio of work
This has to include the obvious
Photography
Drawing
Anything arty really
and
I'm pulling together
A short film
Just to try and show off ;)

I already have the idea of it and because of certain places I will be visiting
 i.e. Coldplay concert
in the next month it will fit in perfectly

It is about a couple that fall in love
At the moment I am listening
to music that I think will fit
as my film will not hold any audio
the music has to make it!!

I already have-
Hans Zimmer
Sigur Ros
Cinematic Orchestra
or
Ludoivico Einaudi
as choices!

And another thing is I can't edit the music either as I do not know how?!
So it has to be perfect!

Have a look at some of my work and let me know what you think!

14 May 2012

I don't know what the title should be...

I'm currently studying at college and thank god I didn't drop out last year...

College text me month's ago blabbing on about working at the Olympic's

Opportunity for students who will be 18 by 1/7/12.... blah .... blah... before 16:30 today ... blah

I sort of thought, whatever I want to enjoy my break off from waxing people's sweaty underarm's and ignored it.

Weeks later

Our tutor was reading out the 'weekly updates' basically telling us the canteen is now serving more overpriced disguisting shit, that I end up eating anyway!

So she started talking about Bridging the Gap and explaining how some people out of the other group went along to a presentation regarding working at the Olympics 2012.

Bridging the Gap is basically a fantastic organisation to get young people into the working industry specifically the Security business.
They pay for our training etc.. and it is only aimed at young adults still studying.

Then comes the exciting part, (my mind was on the usual mute setting) when I heard 'You can earn up to £4,300'

WHAT IN THE WHAT!!!!!

£4,300 that's like insane money to me!
But to possibly be earning this
for a max of 6 weeks work!

So I and 3 others have been through most of the training to become Door Supervisor's and are awaiting to hear back from our interview's

 ... pretty exciting :D

This is an opportunity of a LIFETIME
If only there were more companies with a passion for young people and helping them achieve goals they never thought possible.
I've always wanted to make a difference to the world and hopefully with this experience
it will boost my future career (whatever this may be) and make me achieve my dreams.
